Albany Rotary’s Annual First Responder Recognition honors the local Police, Fire, and EMS professionals who serve our community with courage, compassion, and dedication.
Each day, first responders answer the call during moments of crisis, uncertainty, and need. Their work often requires personal sacrifice, quick decisions, teamwork, and an unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of others. This special event gives our community an opportunity to pause and recognize those individuals whose service truly embodies Service Above Self.
This event celebrates outstanding local first responders and the important roles their departments play in keeping Albany strong, safe, and connected. It is also a chance for community members, civic leaders, colleagues, friends, and families to come together and simply say thank you.
Join Albany Rotary as we recognize the people behind the uniforms and celebrate their service, courage, and commitment to our community at the Joseph E. Zaloga American Legion Post #1520, 4 Everett Road Extension, Albany. Enjoy a delicious lunch while mingling with Rotarians, community members and leaders along with the honored guests and their colleagues. There will be heartfelt speeches, inspiring stories, and a chance to personally thank these incredible individuals for their service.
